That "App Store" looks awfully like an iOS item, Google has another name for the Android App site, I think it's something like Android Market. It comes up on my Android tab as "Google Play" or somesuch.
Originally posted by CrowleyUsed VMWare though when googling some of the issues I had I found users using Virtualbox getting the same problem. I had to use one of the nightly builds as the regular ones have no ethernet support. Any virtualisation solution should work.
I've been wondering if I should look to get into mobile dev.
Which emulator / virtual environment worked for you?
Also worth noting is that the android marketplace does not work so you will have to install apps from other sources. The developer chen or whoever has done a lot of good work but be prepared to do some troubleshooting.
If they can release ICS 4 with marketplace support out of the box it would be awesome. Am already hunting for a tablet/android phone.
I don't have even a mobile phone but on C4 today some lad was going on
about the dangers of a Android phone getting hacked.
Apparently it is more susceptible than others (at the moment) the scam has racked
in thousands of pounds so far.
The phone is being told, unaware to the user, to dial premium rate numbers.

Is another artilce on it with a list of all the dodgy apps which download this virus.
You geeks most likely know all about this but according to C4 there have been
28,000 recorded victims.

I'm not afraid, I just don't want one.
If my friends want to talk to me they know where I live.
If they don't want to come around then it cannot be all that important.
1. How will you call the AA or whoever? Will you falg down a driver and use his phone?
2. How will you tell your team what has happened and they might have a backup player who can play?
Sounds a bit stoneage not even to have a cheap as chips mobile phone.
