there are around 15,000 murders in the U.S. per year, the anti-DP lobby can only come up with a tiny little number of disputable cases, counted over several decades ... so i'd scratch that "many" part ...

I was listening to the radio today and there was a debate concerning the experimentation upon animals, in the name of medical advancement. My problem is this, if these experiments are for the benefit of the human being, why on earth should the animals suffer ?
We have a batch of guinea pigs which are ideal for such purposes, they are known as paedophiles, rapists, etc.
for one, there are a very large number of beneficiaries from the current "humane" legal system, not even including the ones behind bars ... you start trying to reform the legal system you could wind up turning over all sorts of rocks, and they know it ...

Uh, right, yeah. After all, nobody's ever been wrongly convicted of a crime. 😕
Use drunk drivers as the guinea pigs... public service for their crime. There is no doubt they are guilty when you catch them red handed. Those that cause accidents lose an organ. Those that cause a fatal accident get used as guinea pigs and harvested for their organs. This is brilliant in my opinion. Win-win for all involved. Even the drunk driver has the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to society.
