Don't worry - someone, somewhere will call her Princess Meghan - and
cause panic in the Royal household! (Remember the furore over
Princess Di, a title she was not entitled to)

But the queen will make Harry a duke or earl or even marquess,
giving Meghan a title rather than the confusing Princess Harry
which I believe she is entitled to after marriage.

I would say she is braver marrying a carrot-top.

    He might have been banned.
    He might be a creep.
He does have an unanswered and valid question.

    Kegge,

For one of the few times you are half correct. That is a good example! It should be once being an alcoholic. People do say once an alcholic always an alcoholic. Many would be surprised some of us now hate the smell I quit back in March 22, 1992 yet to this day it is still thrown in my face. So be it, I can wear it, because the people being critical have no idea, or character. I would have to put you in that group!

This thread isn't about me though it is about the Royal Wedding, please try to stay on topic!

We say 'sober alcoholic' = nykter alkoholist - I think it has a nice sound and I have friends who manage quite well.

I imagine the "Champers" will flow in May. I am no fan of that particular beverage.

How can one consider a person an alcoholic if they have not drank in 25 years, and can't stand the smell of the stuff?

As usual we have gotten off the track of what the thread was about

We keep the conversations going this way 🙂 .
'Sober alcoholic' is a way to explain that you always have to be careful with alcohol, it's easy to back to old habits once you have developed an addiction. Not you in particular VR, people in general.

Yes, that is true of the public view of alcoholics, but not always the truth of "ALL"!!!

People talk about things they know nothing about, just what they've heard. I am not the only one who now Hates the smell of alcohol, I know many long time alcoholics who have been sober for around the length I have some longer, and despise the smell of it now.

Any way back to the topic being originally discussed "Another Royal Wedding"

Perhaps Harry will get himself on the right path again, at least for now he is heading in that direction. Time will tell how it goes. I wish him the very best in future!

An adult person would be able to express the feelings without recourse to faecal language, don't you think?
