Eddie used to work out at the same gym i go to when they were in Philadelphia for a show. very nice man actually, i had the chance to speak to him a few times. Thats why this is the first wrestling death that actual bothers me a little. I guess its different when you have actually met them

It's sad to hear that the world's population of apes and gorillas is slowly declining...

Its sad to see that respect for those that have died is slowly declining...he was an entertainer that brought a little joy to many and leaves a faimly of young kids...but I suppose to some that dont matter ......

The whole thing is scripted. The pain is real. Its basically a soap opera for the more masculine type, allthough women are a large part of the fan base.
This is an interesting analysis. What other programs fall into the "macho soapie" category?

Roller derby did. AH those were the days! Big betty berthy getting hold of sweet sizzling Susie and ramming her into the "safety" rail so hard that she was made to fake limp the rest of match.

My favourite part was when the antagonist got thrown into the alligator pit at the end!

Do they still do Wrestlemania's??

I used to watch the wrestling in the 80's when Hulk Hogan ruled and the Junk Yard Dog was funky.

I went to Wrestlemania 6 in Toronto when I was around ten years old. It was heartbreaking. I was a huge Hulk Hogan fan but that was the year he lost. 🙁 That was also the day I found out my father could dislocate his shoulder and then relocate it himself very painfully.

I bet you watch wrestling religiously but when it comes up in conversation with adults, you say you watch it with your kids.

So did LT, but he's still around. Life's a lottery in some ways.

Let's not forget Keith Richards either, the living mummy.
