These guy could creat soo much loathing and disgust from an audience that it was incredible. When I was a kid these guy's were COOL! and when the show was done they would talk to you.

The whole thing is scripted. The pain is real. Its basically a soap opera for the more masculine type, allthough women are a large part of the fan base. This is mostly on account of the muscles. Most men don't care for daytime soaps. Wrestling gives them basically the same thing but with fighting and insults.
