For instance, Aida32 shows multiple CPU usage %. but that is a big program with lots of other features like memory speed test and such. Is there a simple program that does just the job of showing multicore cpu %? I have a dual core Intel CPU and if you go to task manager in windows you see only one CPU rating.

When you look at the default display for CPU utilization in Perfmon (or even task manager), you get the average value across all CPUs.

Catfood sent me the way, in task manager, go to performance and then view and you can check all processors separate or averaged.

Are you asking me that one? Viewing the 2 use boxes side by side, the graphs are almost identical. At first I was thinking they were some kind of time delayed view but now I know it is the two cores doing their thing. So they split the jobs pretty evenly. So far I have not had much problem with virus activity or trojans. I use AVG and Superantispyware as AV's, seems to take care of everything so far.

When I'm running a cpu intensive single threaded app, it seems to run quicker in windows if I pin it to a single cpu. Anyone else noticed that?
