there's a free version now. the wiki says it was one of the best games of the time but didn't sell many copies.

Originally posted by zeeblebotI doubt it, at the age at which MULE was good it was the best thing available. Now at that age bracket, games are much more invovled. Most of MULE's greatness was because of what it offered when it did. It was ahead of its time, not so anymore.
but if you were a little kid, just starting out with gaming, you might have a different opinion. i am going to try mine on it.
are there any other good, free Hammurabai clones?
Originally posted by Starrmanhave you ever played Battle of Wesnoth? it's free. it might be similar to MULE, except that you control different beings with different skills like magic, etc., and take over castles on a hex map. my kids are hooked on it. the graphics are sufficient, don't need high-end graphics cards for that.

Originally posted by zeeblebotNo, I'm more of a high-end kinda gamer these days. What age bracket your kids? I could try coming up with some gaming suggestions for them.
