I found out recently that my great grandparents were Romani, which makes me part gypsy. You obviously never read the magazine Viz in the early 90's. They had a cartoon strip called the Thieving Gypsy Bast*rds, which was eventually withdrawn due to protest by the gypsy community. It used to make me laugh though, not as much as its Top tips section, or famous people on the toilet, it was real adolescent toilet humour.
