Playing in your second language is impressive. I suspect I would need to put more coloured squares in the post than the character limit.

I blew it today. I made the same guess two turns in a row. I don't know how I could be so stupid. I was one letter off on move 3.

I also totally missed it today. 🙁 I had it down to one missing letter after my second guess, and then failed to get the correct word in four straight tries.

@mwmiller

I went with a different strategy. I use all 6 guesses - so I did not try to guess the word when I was two letters off after the third try (3 letters in the right place - two empty spaces).

For words 4 and 5 I just tried to get more letters. I put in two completely different words with new unchecked letters. I found the missing two letters and then figured out where to put them in guess 6.

Maybe there is some value in getting the word in less than 6 guesses - not sure.

Where do you find the word of the day to start?
Do I have it right, the last block on the list is for the word of the day and you can put in any 5 letter word you want in block one and the software assigns the various colors showing what letters are correct and such.
You are not limited to real words only? You can use letters like RVFFF?

The word of the day is a secret until you solve the puzzle.

Yes, you start by entering any five-letter word and the software colors the letters, which gives you some clues for your next guess.

No RVFFF, you can only use real actual existing 5 letter words.

Worst luck ever.

Three tries to guess the fourth letter and it turned out to be the one I didn't guess. This is the second time I failed to guess the word.

Not to mention that RVFFF would be a horrible guess.

Yup, that one looks familiar. It's pretty evil when they use words that are one letter different to four or five other words. Makes it a bit of a guessing game. Still gonna gloat that I got that one in four though. How sad is that. 😁

@sonhouse
Maybe this will help.
The word of the day is the answer to the puzzle.
You have 6 guesses to see if you can figure it out.
You start by entering a valid 5-letter word.
Once you enter it, the blocks will change colors to give you clues about your letters.
Green = Right letter, Right place
Yellow = Right letter, Wrong place
Gray = Wrong letter.
The same letter may be used more than once. As in bills, happy, etc.
The keyboard at the bottom also changes colors to show unused letters, as an aid.
When you have five green blocks, you have solved the puzzle for that day.
