I was just checking. Things are changing all the time these days, i was just making sure you and reader, and Rookrak, and the rest hadn't done a dotwell on the forums 🙁
😴
I am not leaving the site, but the forums are going through one of their "not fun" cycles.

And now they are talking about "clan wars" and "Forum wars". . .Who are these people ?
Maybe they should get little painted figures of all of us, and play dungeons and dragons 😛

In addition, I have almost exclusively played correspondence chess so far, and I know I wouldn't do well at OTB chess. And they seem to play a lot of blitz, which I don't like at all.
Why? If I may ask.
Originally posted by NordlysI found the change to 3D quite weird, which is why i have brought my chess set to work, so that i can set up my games here, and try and work out my moves that way.

As for the chess club, i don't know if they actually have a regular evening, or if they are just chess friendly, but i will find out the next time i am off work 🙂
No need to be scared Nordlys, it's all about learning, and i'm sure they would be happy to see you there.
Originally posted by NordlysIt has been my experience at various chess clubs that there are all kinds of chess players.Strong, weak, slow and fast at nearly everyone I have been to. Doing well is relative. Chess is a passtime, and not anything more than a chance to lose yourself for a while and forget other things. Go with a friend, or maybe find the names of the club officers and give one a call. That way you won't feel alone. Do the world a favor and take a break from your PC and play some virtual. I am sure you could find someone to play you a long game. 🙂

And you won't be distracted by spelling police duties there. 😛
