How long are the contractors at it? And how long will they be? Maybe rather have a few weeks of activity instead of months?

well this neighbor has been here about 3 yrs., but has had several "projects".. Last time it was landscapers in the front. Recently he put up a fence in the front which is NOT permitted under the CC&R's !!.

I’d hate to have to live close to people I can’t get along with as relaxing at home is so important for me. Are you generally sociable with your neighbours? Maybe ask about their plans in a curious way rather than express disapproval.

unfortunately we do not have an official Home Owners Association. We have only a set of CC & Rs , which is written set of "rules" for all to follow. But no-one to enforce the rules in any manner. There are about 75 Custom homes in a gated community thats supposed to be keep out the riff-raff but good luck on that..
RE: the fence was tastefully done, but the point is , no-one else has a front fence !

some people just move into a neighborhood and don't give a damn about any standards. They are usually lower income , lower educated losers..

Just because they have a lower income or are lower educated, doesn't make them losers! It makes YOU sound uppity, as if by having more or being richer makes you a better person....that is something that could be debated.
