I think we can safely say that as long as jobs are mostly done by women, lower wages are a consequence. Women in general, if I may generalize, are often concerned about other women's situation and prefer to fight 'one for all, all for one', and that is sometimes an obstacle.

Indeed. Here is some spoo I found on the net:

"In 2020, out of the 300 thousand registered doctors in the United Kingdom, 160 thousand were men and 140.5 thousand women. Furthermore, there was a pronounced gender gap among specialist doctors in the UK with 50.2 thousand men for just under 30 thousand women qualified on the specialist register."

"Women make up 52% of lawyers in law firms [in the UK] , up from 51% in 2019. Men made up 46% of lawyers, down from 47% in 2019 and 0.1% preferred another description (no change since 2019). Government employment figures for 2019 show that women made up 48% of the workforce in England, Scotland and Wales."
