shark, because I would pass out from the drowning with in 2 minutes, vs. a much slower death by being shredded.

Actually, wouldnt a lion bite your neck, killing you quickly, whereas you would slowly drown while being torn apart with a shark.

The moral? Stay indoors.

a shark would only bite once, then spit. a lion would swallow. -it all depends on whether you prefer the one eating you to spit or swallow.

On a related note; would you rather drown or be burnt to death in 1/4 the amount of time it takes you to drown?

Neither, although I've ordered both (on different occasions with clients) as entrees during visits to a three star wild game gourmet restaurant

in Chicago years ago. Lion Filet with a Shallot and Grand Marnier reduction was superior to the shark and boar. And didn't taste like chicken.

I have given the matter some thought and decided the shark.
Reason being, the lion would not care if you werent totally dead - just incapacitated- so would eat regardless of your conscious state.
Secondly - they prefer to start at the stomach and work outwards, so it would last a while.

The shark, while having less concern of incapacitating its prey, will tend to rip off very large chunks of flesh with every bite so you would die of blood loss (rumoured to be quite a pleasent death) before he was finished eating.

And you can hit the shark on the nose to scare it away (so they say). I don't know about this with lions...
