there are 4 vying for the top spot. so, here are mine. in no particular order...
st andrews golf hotel: at my hall ball a couple of years ago. my first cup of freshly ground coffee. it was before i started properly on coffee, and it was surprisingly nice. but then again, it was in a 4 star hotel...
starbucks, borders book shop, buchananananan street, glasgow: a rather nice latte. i went back for another. it too was rather nice.
girlfriends house: her dad made me a coffee with cream on the top. apparently he never makes coffee for anyone. it was gorgeous!
student flat: i asked for a cup of coffee. i heard a grinding noise from the kitchen. 10 minutes later i had a rather splended cup of freshly ground coffee! it wins the award for the most surprising cup. although it was only a half cup as he gave up grinding the beans. he had to do it by hand.
mmmmmm......coffee........

Dunkin Donuts large coffee with cream and two sugars.
Otherwise, gotta love a good: cafe con leche.
And I do miss living down the street from this company:

I bought a $10 grinder and grind my own beans. It makes the coffee taste really fresh. You also need a pot that makes the water HOT. The best tasting individual cup I've had recently was at the hospital! I woke up from surgery and they gave me a cup of coffee with a bagel & cream cheese. I still remember how good they were...think the fact I hadn't had anything to eat in over 18 hrs. may have had something to do with it.
