It's very hard to find Fair Trade items in the US, but if you hunt for them you can find them. Really hunt.

Is there any reason why I couldn't soak the beans in cold water for 24 hours, pour through a filter and get the same results? That would save me $35. (I'm not trying to be cheap, just thrifty.)
Give it a shot. I doubt the results will be the same, but you never know. I am under the impression that the soaking must be applied to the grounds, not the beans, however.

Oh yeah, one thing about the nescafe fair trade.

It comes in a cardboard container, and mines has stuck together, because i work so much and dont use it up so quick these days.

If you're going to buy this coffee, and you are away from the house as muuch as i am, you might consider saving a glass container to keep it in.
Thanks for the tip, good idea.

The best cup of coffee by far would be whichever one someone brings me in bed 😀

Agreed. The best cup of something is a cup of tea. Or maybe hot chocolate.

I understand the underdeveloped countries need to be brought up to speed economically and socially to prevent population explosion and uncontrollable disease. Throwing money at them does not do the trick. They need to have skills and a sense of ownership and control over their own destiny.
We tried throwing money at the Native Americans and they all went ...[text shortened]... cs.
I think I need a beer now. 😞

I agree with the "Fair Price" not the "Same Price".
there is a big difference between native American Indians, and African farmers, but i don't want to insult good American people explaining what it is.

oh yeah, i also have a selection of chinese green Teas at home. . . also good.

We tried throwing money at the Native Americans and they all went out and became alcoholics, then they had alcoholic babies. To this day there are many "Indian Reservations" across the U.S. and half their population consists of alcololics.

Well, duh! Take people away from their area and way of life and move them to the worst plot of land you can find. Build up the area around them with electricity, paved roads, running water, sewage treatment, but leave this chunk of land out of the improvement loop. Make it as difficult as possible for this group to survive within their chunk of land or outside of it. Then wonder why they have a high alcoholism rate.

*Throwing money* isn't the problem here. The problem is racism and imperialism going back to the original British settlers and carried on by all subsequent governments.

To me a good cup of coffee has to be fairtrade as well as taste good (and fairtrade and organic is even better)

I currently drink instant Clippers Fairtrade organic coffee, a little pricey but at least I know it's an ethical choice, so my cup of coffee tastes better for it!

Fair trade Orange? do you mean Terry's chocolate Orange??
We sell Fair Trade Organic Arabica bean coffee. Its yummy. Also, fairtrade organic hot chocolate and Clipper Fairtrade Organic tea. Best tea and coffee in town.
