I don't think Hitchcock directed anything from the year 2000 and up 😉

But disputably, he is in the category of one of the world's greatest directors:

Spielberg

Scorcese

Coppola

Kubrick

Ridley Scott

to name a few

Of course, I meant 2000....*ahem*.

My favourite, and best in my book...Guillermo del Toro (Blade 2, Hellboy). Maybe not Hellboy as much as Blade 2, but pretty good. Also did Mimic in 1997. Not so good.

Yeah, anything with Adam Sandler makes me cry too. Though maybe not the same way as you.

The Hulk was terrible. Saw Flying Daggers this week - very good really.

But, Tarantino is clearly the winner. Never does a bad film.

House of Flying Daggers...saw the trailer for that, looks mad. Ang Lee should stay to martial arts movies, not comic adaptations.

What about best distributor of the year? Miramax has my vote, they do all of QT's films.

Man, Blade 2 was the biggest pile of muck I've ever seen.

My vote would have to be for Peter Jackson. Absolutely awesome work on THE trilogy.

Dusk till Dawn was written by Tarantino, but it was directed by Robert Rodriguez.

Taranino also directed "Jackie Brown."

I thought "Kill Bill" was superb. And "Pulp Fiction" is my all-time favourite movie.

So my vote would have to go to Tarantino. No other contemporary director puts his unique stamp on a movie in quite the same way.

You may not always love what he does in his movies, but you have to admire the stylish way he does it.
