i'm going to transform my gloves into idiot ones...socks should be pretty easy to do but the string would have to pass your 'package'. things could get tangled up there..it might get too messy

I would go with thumbs, although they are not invented by humans but by evolution. This was kind of due to walking on two legs not four so i would go for 2 legged walking as well.

On a more modern note...the printing press bringing books to the masses

What do people think of as bad inventions my vote would go for religion.

The best invention is the written word.

Without it we would never have had this forum (and other less important things not really worth mentioning) and been able to discuss this critical question.
