@ghost-of-a-duke saidThe one about chaney3? No. You made a fool of yourself.
Examples were given. They just weren't to your liking.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidHe was talking about permanent bans. This is weak banter from you.
I think it was funnier when you said people who got bans deserved it and were douchebags, forgetting FMF had been banned previously.
Whisky v Whiskey is a "better late than never" story. Before prohibition, Irish whiskey was dominant [400+ commercial brands] and Scotch whisky was an also-ran in the marketplace. When prohibition ended abruptly, Scotch bounced back quicker than whiskey because Scotch could be made more quickly. It won an overwhelming market share [along with American-style whiskies]. But, never mind: there is still Irish whiskey that can be had... better late than never.
@fmf saidnot sure where u got the idea that scotch is quicker to produce than irish whiskey, both follow a similar process and if anything scotch is aged for a longer period, I am of irish descent my ma was Irish, she recons nearly every family had a still back in the 1930s and whiskey was drinkable after about 3 years.still get poteen brought over by family(moonshine)

-Removed-It is something I've mentioned before here, but I have an ongoing issue with heat intolerance and especially struggle each winter with central heating. (Does weird things to my ears and fingers). In a perfect world I would go into the office and turn off the heating and fling open all the windows, but this of course would be unreasonable for colleagues who struggle with the cold. - Our weekly two-hour meeting is therefore an endurance test for me and not something I look forward to. Indeed, the one silver lining for me of lockdown was having these meetings on Microsoft Teams when I had control of the environment I was sitting in. (And easy access to the fridge).
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI must have missed it. What weird things does it do to your ears and fingers? Easy access to the fridge makes you sound like you are always snacking. 🙂

@very-rusty saidI have a condition called Raynauds that affects the flow of blood through blood vessels. (Mostly in fingers, toes and ears). - There are worse conditions out there, but it often leaves my hands and ears riddled with chilblains. For many people its the cold that triggers the problem, but for me it's going from the cold into a hot environment.

@very-rusty saidRemember I spoke about sitting outside coffee shops in the winter, even when it's snowing? (accompanied only by determined smokers).
I must have missed it.
