Colt Brennan? Are you insane? You sure speak highly of the WAC conference.
Colt Brennan's numbers in his last three games which were all against Bowl eligible teams from the Big Ten and Pac-10:
103/140 1394 Yards 10 Touchdowns 4 INT's
Yeah, that's a Heisman winner to me. I haven't heard a contrary argument yet just the usual brainless posing from the midwest children.
EDIT: And the WAC has two bowl wins already compared to zip for the mighty Big Ten.

The Big Ten has started its Bowl season with two losses. While some Midwestern deluded fools here think that the top two Big Ten teams should play for the national championship because the league is sooooooooooooo strong, I've been predicting that the "Big" Ten would lose most of its bowl games. With 5 to go, they're 0-2 and IMHO neither Penn St. (playin ...[text shortened]... ut of three loses to their top three isn't out of the question. So the Big Ten ain't jack!
Originally posted by no1marauderYou can't just look at the numbers. For example, if you were on a very good team you would probably be pulled out early from the game and not finish as where someone else on a bad team may play all four quarters because their team is horrible. For example, a horrible team like the New York Giants come to mind. On such a team, Eli would be playing all four quarters, assuming he did not get yanked for playing poorly that is, in comparison to another QB on a team that blows out teams. Another factor is how conservativly you play in comparison to how the other team is doing. For example, if you run the score up in the first half, you may coast through the rest of the game and not put up as good of numbers as you would against better compitition. And yet another factor, are the types of defenses you are facing. Perhaps QB X faced much better defenses than QB Y during the year so that QB X does not have as good of numbers.

To sum up, these are all factors one should consider when discussing who should win the Hiesman. However, I think the most important factor in winning the Hiesman is who is the greatest positive factor in regards to realizing victories. After all, the entire game is geared around winning. The numbers mean nothing to the coach nor the player during the coarse of the game. If the numbers meant more, then they would be playing to pad the numbers instead of doing what is best for the team to acutally win the game. Lets take the Yankees for an example even though it is a different sport altogether. If baseball had the Hiesman trophy to award a player, you could say that a player on the Yankees deserves to win based upon better numbers. However, the Yankees consistantly choke despite consistantly having the better team on paper. Therefore, who really cares what the players have done during the year if they cannot do their job which is to win games? Therefore, I would be more inclined to look at the other ball clubs who beat them up to see if someone on their club deserves the award.

Let's not forget about Ian Johnson of undefeated Boise State (WAC); of course the competition wasn't the strongest which is why they aren't playing for a National Championship, but these are some pretty impressive numbers.

He isn't going out of his way. He truly is a moron.
And apparently doesn't know much about college football.
Originally posted by whodeySomething like that. Pro scouts are saying he'll probably never play QB in the NFL and won't be drafted in the first round.
