2. Your second statment: Rarely do teams come out flat in Bowl games. just shows your ignorance. Actually, teams often come out flat in bowl games and in the frist half of the Rose Bowl both teams came out somwhat flat. Maybe you were watching cartoons and missed that part?
Also, Michigan DOES have talent. I still believe they are better than USC. They just had an off game. Look at that great game they played at Ohio State. They even showed the game on ESPN Classic the following Wednesday because it was so good!

Michigan is a good team, but clearly USC is better. Your reasoning, however, gets worse with each set back for the big blue.
Originally posted by Falco LombardiPeople don't want to hear it and will start flaming and baiting immediately, but the history of the Rose Bowl shows that it is a very tough game for OSU or Michigan whenever they play USC or UCLA.

Is it because of the lay off, the warmer weather, the home town crowd, the history? Probably a combo, but it is clear that the California teams have generally done better than they should have and the mid-western teams have generally done worse.

How many remember that USC games this season came down to the last play of the game three weeks in a row? Who can name all three opponents?
If this experience occured to a top team in the eastern time zone, everyone would remember it. Because it took place on the west coast, few do.
Originally posted by Falco LombardiContinuing to claim that Michigan is "better" than USC is ridiculous. The Trojans thrashed Michigan totally picking apart the Michigan secondary in the second half, a weak point of the team that OSU also exploited. And Michigan was stymied on offense virtually the whole game. Let's get real here, kid; you're not "better" if you get your a** handed to ya.
Thx.

Well of course they are.
And the Texans are better than the Colts.
Teams never have an off day and the best team always wins.
LMFAO

totally OWN USC right?
Originally posted by Red NightPlayers come out flat. Gameplans are bad. A good coach with up to 4 weeks to prepare can find the weekness in an opponent and it is up to that opponent to adjust to what the other teams is doing.

If you don't adjust to what they are doing you get eaten alive. That doesn't mean you played badly, it means you didn't make the appropriate adjustments to counter what the other team was doing to take you out of your gameplan.
I will say it again, tell me what Michigan did badly and I will tell you what SC did to make them "look" bad. Fair enough?

You and me both. GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
Maurader, I just thought I would provide you with some more incentive to root against the Buckeys other than the fact that I am one of their biggest fans. It turns out coach Tressel and his players have been holding Christian rallies on campus no less. I guess now we know why they seem unbeatable, no?
