I had an employee who I had to fire because he was sexually harassing another chef.
Anyway, he managed to get keys cut and learn the alarm codes, and 6 months later broke in to the restaurant in the middle of the night and put bleach and oven gel into the various sauces.
Luckily, the sauces were bubbling and after one poor chef tasted them he got burnt mouth, we called the police. We threw all the food away, closed for an afternoon and used cctv tv to catch him.
He was Brazillian and he got deported - three weeks later he was shot dead in a gang crime!!!
I still wonder if I did something wrong along the way.
