Saw this new release at the local indie theatre. Nice upgrade over the original and the voiceover at the end is gone.
No doubt now about whether or not Decker was a replicant!
Amazing that it's 25 years since the original release.
EDIT : By the way, it's "Deckard....2-63-54".
Yeah I don't understand the theory that Deckard isn't a replicant.
1) "You've done a man's job!" says it in one, really...
2) Deckards eyes glow reddish in the light at one point when he is standing behind Rachael
3) The (implanted) recurring unicorn dream & Gaff's unicorn origami left at Deckard's place as a marker
4) Deckard's obsession with photos - a trait of replicants
5) Deckard seems rather resilient to pain & can "keep up" with Roy Batty
6) Deckard's only family seems to be his ex-wife who is referenced vaguely

Bear in mind that the Unicorn wasn't common knowledge until the Director's Cut in '82.
Originally posted by Red NightIt was and still is a great movie. One of the best sci-fi movies ever made. Keep in mind that at the time he had just done Raiders of the lost ark....
Great movie.
Originally posted by SmookiePI think it was panned initially because it was seen as bleak & characterless.

The irony is, Roy Batty shows more humanity than any other "person", perhaps with the exeption of Rachael when she has her cathartic moment.

If he was the 6th person then the cops would have had to somehow capture him and reprogram him to chase replicants. Seems a little far fetched considering he seemed to already know a tonne of people in the city and they knew him already.
