Thats what happens here in Ireland anyway. I work in tech support here.

Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugJust so you know, BT Broadband was down for a few hours last night. It was a connectivity issue that affected almost all of their users.
My last one failed so I got a new one a few weeks ago, been working fine until last night, I tried logging on the internet, all the lights on the router went on as normal, opened Firefox, then the internet light went out and Firefox page died. So the power light remained on and the USB light, and the DSL light, but no internet light. I've tried googli ...[text shortened]... r everyone last night? Help! If I can't get online this evening I shall be timed out big time!

There's just the one computer. 3 microfilters. The other 2 just connected to phones elsewhere in the house. How would I connect directly to the wall socket? I mean, I've got the USB cable from the router to the pc. And the telphone cable from the router to the wall socket. Surely I need to go through the router to connect to the internet?
I see you've got it sussed anyway. 🙂
