Actually, my life is not one that is underscored by longing for something better or different. If it were to be steady-as-goes hereon in ~ with my marriage as it is, and my children growing up, interesting work continuing to come in, not over-extended, debt-free, superstition/religion-free, a backlog of books and music waiting to be consumed, and somewhat of a globetrotting experience-packed life to look back on ~ I'd be perfectly content. Obviously, I wouldn't want any of these things to be damaged or disrupted during the remaining years.

Why would he have mentioned it to anyone. If you had herpes would you be spreading it around here? Probably. Give the guy a break. He's not having a go at you or anything.
This is a thread to have a chat and a bit of friendly banter. Get the bee out of your bonnet and calm down.

Friday, December 10, 2010, I became paralyzed hip to knees [without an impact injury, stroke or seizure] until April, 2012, when I was discharged [having regained 15 of the 61 lbs. lost during the first five weeks when my son was called and told: "Your Dad is near death; you may want to book a flight to be with him one last time." which he and his lovely wife did]. More than a dozen doctors and specialists who performed numerous diagnostic tests and procedures were unable to determine the cause. There was, however, a consensus that a "gradual miracle had occurred". My present weight is well within the desirable range for a man of my height and age. Occasional Neuropathy along the soles of my feet is the only lingering side effect from this serious illness. Your question was asked and answered in some detail in a thread in this forum.within a month of my return.

Have you ever mentioned it before over the last 5 years?

Did I ask you the question is April 2012? I don't think I did. Was that the only time you mentioned it?

You were under doctor care for 18 months before being "discharged"? That is not how I remember this story on the numerous times you have recounted it. Perhaps I've misunderstood or misread.

You want us to come up with some impossible fantasies too ~ ones that might touch upon autobiographical matters supposedly without seeming off-topic ~ and not just real actions we could take in the remaining years of our lives?

Bucket List.
A night out with Suzie would be a bit of fun. She seems quite feisty and have a laugh or two. However a whole night alone with Jennifer Hawkins would be top of the bucket list. Imagine the bragging rights down the pub with the boys !!! Yes, I love my wife and kids to bits but everyone has some small secret desire.....oh......except for FMF. He's led the perfect life and could not want for more. Lucky man.
Spade List
A night out with FMF. Hearing about his perfect life would soon become ........very yesterday.

"16 month unplanned absence" [December, 2010, until April, 2012] was part of my reply in whodey's
General Forum thread which welcomed me back to Red Hot Pawn. The reply to FMF is factual.
