"Who knew, in 2000, that 'compassionate conservatism' meant bigger government, unrestricted government spending, government intrusion in personal matters, government ineptitude, and cronyism in disaster relief? Who knew, in 2000, that the only bill the president would veto, six years later, would be one on funding stem-cell research? A more accurate term for Mr. Bush's political philosophy might be incontinent conservatism. . . .
am I missing the sarcasm here, or didn't people there really see that this was exactly what was going to happen? it was more or less obvious even around the first election.

Despite his shortcomings as a "stealth conservative," the one thing President Bush did get right is the War against radical Islam. Since 9/11, there have been no terrorists attacks in our country.

You should know that socialist propaganda "junk-news" such as New York Times and Washington Post do not post anything that is not slanted towards to socialism. They will not publish a story in objective pijt of view. CNN can also be categorized in the same group.

There are no right-wing news channels in the United States.
FOX News is the closest to the objective reporting that you can see here in the states.

Perhaps you are being sarcastic, but do you really buy in to this tripe? I'll lay it out for you: our major media is not socialist, not republican, not democratic. It exists to make money, and to serve the political structure into which it is so deeply embedded.

Really, where is the "liberal media"? Don't you think if the media were liberal they would show pictures of war carnage around the clock? They don't, do they? Wouldn't they have around the clock coverage of any one of the dozens of scandals that run up and down this administration? They have very little coverage of anything of substance that is even a shadow of being critical of those in power, whether those in power are republican or democrat.

Turn off your fascist AM radio and take a look and a listen. They aren't on my side, and they aren't on yours either.

On reading some of his past posts, you appear to be right. 😕

I wonder how he can explain this grossly inaccurate propoganda?

You think killing thousands of inocents was the right thing to do? I'm not saying they all were inocent, but a whole nation cannot be responsible for what some individuals have done. War doesn't solve anything, earlier or later it just leads to greater cataclysms. Humans are the most vengeanceful creatures, so don't think that war in Iraq has stopped the threats of terrorism. Are you even hearing the news? Like what happened in London (train explosions) after the war in Iraq, or how suicide bombers took hostage hundreds of kids in Moscow in a school. War, fighting, violence never solves anything.

I was shocked to hear, that presidentress from my country decided to send our troops to Iraq too.

Maybe this war kicked Saddam out of his throne but was it worth all these deaths? Was worth all this sorrow and suffer? Was it worth to break thousands of families?

and only some dozens of thousands of people killed worldwide, two countries ground to rubble, opium trade restored to its former might, and the country left untouched where the terrorists actually came from.

I'm not saying attacking saudis would've been much less stupid, but at least there would've been some kind of flickering glimpse of reason in getting the country right.

that's War on Reason, nothing else.

I'm well aware that various conservative pundits have bailed on George W. Bush over the past year, but now ( slap forehead here ) he's got a real problem: T ...[text shortened]... Reid, who has the gift of being able to induce sleep in 30 seconds."
The title should read: sasquatch672 Goes Political on 9/13/06.
Not sure why this is in the General forum, maybe the mods could move it over next to one or your Valeria Plame posts.
