you are probably right. i thought of it probably because i couldn't spell it and because i read it was a candidate for worst movie somewhere on the internet. i guess it wasn't that bad, but it sure went on and on and on ...
i can't even remember what it was about anymore and i only saw it a couple of years ago. there were several strange looking people in it i seem to recall, but no more.
🙂
Originally posted by CrowleyResident Evil was pretty good, I thought, but you're right for the most part. Remember Super Mario Brothers? Ugh. The only part of the Mortal Kombat movies that I enjoyed thoroughly was the video game voice yelling "Mortal Kombat!" before every fight scene. Hilarious.
Don't know if games translate too well into movies.
I'm aware that there will be a few people who will disagree (particularly the academy) but I think that 'Titanic' was an appalling waste of nearly 3 hours of my life that I'll never get back. (Fingers crossed for time travel, if only so I go back to crow's nest on that fateful night and shout 'Icecube'!!!)
Oops. I thought this was concerning the "worst MOVES" of all time. I could contend nicely in that arena. But we're talking about MOVIES. Let's see. I had a very difficult time not taking my own life during the second Charlie's Angels movie that my daughters made me take them to see. That was the worst bunch of crap that I never hoped I'd ever see.
Some movies that people seem to like but I can't stand:
Spiderman - Horrible, horrible movie. Embarrassingly cliché and predictable.
Titanic - Someone already mentioned this. Why did there have to be a love story??
The Fast and the Furious - I need more in a movie than a few good looking girls and a fast car or two (i.e. a plot).
American Pie 2 - The first one I didn't mind tooooo much, it was watchable, but the second used the same jokes again. I have thus far managed to avoid the third.
Dude, where's my car? - My friend thought this was hilarious. I thought she was an idiot.
Phew, I feel better now that I have got all that out of my system. Thanks Crowley.
what about FRIDAY THE 13th PART whatever : JASON TAKES MANHATTEN. that was really sad. So was Godfather Part 2😕
As on video games to moives, Resident Evil was good and has a sequel in the works. Tomb Raider was bad, Tomb Raider 2 was worst (you could easily tell the water was cold in the beginning 😀) and Mortal Combat was sad. House of the Dead looks worst than Titanic, and Aliens vs Predator is cmoing soon!
Funny Enough, Harry Potter is one film I refuse to watch and if anyone gave me the book, id bin it. All hype, why cant they just let us make our own minds, because of this, I refuse to become a robot, I can make up my own mind and dont need Harry Potter in my face everytime I turn the TV on!........... ðŸ˜
Gosh...How to narrow it down.
I'm a movie snob from way back.
Probably my worst movie of all time is "Palmetto" starring Woody Harrelson, Gina Gershon and Elizabeth Shue. Its even become an adjective for me "that movie was Palmetto bad".
I'm with you all on "Titanic" - a big waste of money and honestly, to me, boring.
I liked "Naked Lunch" and "Mullholland Drive", yeah the movie snob in me coming out I guess.
However, I also liked "Resident Evil" so I can't be all bad, righto?
As far as recent films - "Dark Blue" with Kurt Russell was really pretty awful.
As much as I love superhero films (Hey! I LOVED Spiderman) - The Hulk was very disappointing, as was Daredevil.
"Enough" with J.Lo was Palmetto bad, for sure.
Ah....I could go on and on. When you see a lot of movies, as I do, you see a lot of stinkers too.
Wolf with Jack Nicholson, etc.
The Addiction with Christopher Walken
Albino Alligator directed by Kevin Spacey
High Planes Drifer Clint Eastwood
Titanic with Leonardo Dicaprio, etc.
Legend of the Fall with Brad Pitt
I'm sure I could think of more if I took some more time. Note that I respect the talents of most of the actors above, but just found these particular movies dull, or shallow, or stupid, or some other bad thing, or some combination of two or more bad things. Note further that I consider Spacey a great actor, but after 'Bino 'Gator I have grave doubts about his directorial capacity, as that aspect of the film in particular was nauseating.
