Our cat (7 months old), who has just recently started enjoying going out, has been bitten badly by another cat. She was seriously injured and the infection neary killed her. We don't want this to happe again. Anyone know how to teach young cat how to fight, or how to defend themselves???
most pet's just become like the owner,so mabey if you were a bit more staunch around her then she would also become the same.they develop a heirachy system with the neighbouring cats which you can help by spending time with her outside giving the other cats a scare.
my last cat tried attacking the neighbours dog and got bitten in the throat.a friend of mine helped nurse her back to health by keeping the wound clean with warm milk and cotton buds.she recovered to full health...hope yours does also.

Do what I did: Go find the culprit, and jack it's lunch money. AKA beat it up. Make it scared to come around.

It's a metaphor. And I don't mean physically beat it up, I mean spray it with the water hose or something...
