I'm scared of dogs, and allergic to cats.

Unsurprisingly then, I don't keep either as pets.

This is most often the way it is. Children are rarely allergic to dogs but very frequently to cats. One can overcome their fears, but allergies are forever.

I used to have a fear of dogs. I guess I still do sort of, but when you get to know dogs well and they don't jump at you (what I get really scared of 😳) then I really like them. Especially big warm wooly ones 😀

I prefer cats because I've never been bitten by a cat
lol... I've never ever been bitten by my dog, but I constantly have scabs and scars because my cat bites me (I play with her... she seems to find it funny. I do to though 😉 )
I couldn't say which I like more. My dog is dumb as a sack of beans, but he's very affectionate and he'll do anything to please you... and he's always there when you need a cuddle. And I can even forgive him for breaking my portable cd player... which I then repaired all by myself 😀
My cat, on the other hand, will be affectionate for maybe 2 minutes max... the she will sit on my lap hissing at me (but not going away...). But I love her too, because I always have the feeling she's really smart. Oh, and I let her sleep on my bed in the daytime... so that when I kick her off when I go to bed, it's nice and warm 😀
But I hear dogs taste better... and while cats may fit in a microwave more easily, have you ever seen a sign saying this for cats? http://images.google.de/images?q=tbn:96sGH_HMFkcVPM:http://www.rhymer.net/New%2520Folder/Segada-Banaue/dogmeat.jpg

cats ( i have 2) though in the future i would like a dog (a border collie) and some ducks
We had this cat once. It was a bad cat in that from time to time it would just take a notion to clawing you or biting you. I found the damn cure for this cat. I got a border collie. I got it as a puppy. It kind of looked like one of those in the Devoted to Dogs avatar. From day 1, the dog did it's job. It stalked that cat non-stop. Border collies I believe are related to wolves in that they know how to stare and lower their heads. That poor cat never knew when it's last day was going to be. I showed mercy on her and found another home for her.

I have never been bitten by a dog, but I have been bitten by one crazy cat. That cat had mental problems. It was like being around a foot high tiger. He was declawed so he would bite like a dog. A bad cat is really bad. Most bad dogs have bad dog owners or the owner was not able to handle the dog correctly.
