Originally posted by MacMelIt looks to me that all of the players in question are simply not intereseted in playing against people with ratings lower than the limits they set. What is the rub?
it seems there is a practical problem with the limits on the open invite list.
although the challenge limits are now shown and probably in force on the open invite, players seem to have inappropriate settings compared to their current rating.
Originally posted by MacMelIf both players agree to play, how is that not fair?????????
well, I favour fair challenges.
Nonsensical open invites have been appearing on there for as long as I have been coming here, and probably longer than that. So what?
They occasionally get removed by admins [I assume] I know 'cause one of mine disappeared by itself a while ago.

Game 3273860
Game 3261943
300 points in your favour
Game 3282940
Game 3491568
Nearly 450 points in your favour
Game 3523991
These points differentials are no worse that the open invites you think are so bad.

Now, having a closer look at the last one:
I placed the open invite for that game. With the win I dropped 4 points. A loss would have cost me dearly. What's wrong here, you think?
On the other ones, 1525 is my current rating, you'll have to look at the history for the appropriate ratings.

(Explanation for the slow ones: You both love to do research into embarrassing details (leaving out any evidence contrary to your premise, of course!) of any user except yourselves. In school, you were both probably the class snitch everyone hated.)
