Liverpool! Come on, the supposed best club ever? They had ten good years, OK, but that was 10 out of over 100 of their history. Since 1991 and pre-1977 all they've done is loiter harmlessly around the top half of the table picking up occasional trophies every now and then. So much do I dislike them I will go so far, as a Romanista, to support Milan on Wednesday! And that's saying something!

What a choice...choosing between an arrogant team (Liverpool) vs an Italian one (AC Milan). Which is the lesser of two evils?
AC Milan it is, then, because they actually scored goals and not had an idiot linesman to help them.
Sorry, I just still have some mental wounds from the semifinals.

In my opinion Benitez is one of the most humble managers out there and the team has never claimed to be the best there is. Any liverpool fan will say liverpool had a lot of luck getting to the final.
If you want an arrogant team then look at Chelsea..
Come on liverpool!!
Originally posted by dk3nnyI've no doubt Benitez is a humble coach, but I'm commenting on the club in general over the past 30 years. Plus, Carragher and the fans saying that Liverpool are back to the glory days. They are most assuredly not, since they were bloody lucky to get into the final without scoring a goal in the last three CL games (I don't count the Chelsea goal), plus their league form has been awful.

I define glory days as coming in first or second in the Premiership, than sweeping all before them in the Champions League, like they did in the late 70s, early 80s. This team can't even hold a candle to those sides, and the players and fans shouldn't pretend to otherwise.
Chelsea is not an arrogant side, since they have a coach who has already won European and national trophies, brought that confidence to the side and got them trophies within a year. If he didn't deliver in the past and now, then you could call them arrogant.
Real Madrid, however, with its galacticos, now THERE'S an arrogant team.
