It has come to my attention that one of my former clan members Blobby has been playing himself in an attempt to raise his rating he has set up a character rrr and has made rrr resign 8 games thinking that this will raise his rating. Little does he know that unless a player makes 4 moves in a game no rating points are awarded. I am bringing this to the attention of everybody because i am unsure what to do. Blobby has been also known for no chess etiquette in his games against frank burns and other players please post back and let me know if i should report this to russ.

Like invent 10 alter egos, log in from different computers, let 4 out of 9 win all their games and let 1 of the 10 (not one of the four) beat all 4 others...
Play whole games, start a clan, etc. etc.
On the other hand, it seems so pointless...

UPDATE - I didn't realize he was only 12 years old, but just because he's an inefficient cheater doesn't make him less of a cheater. As a suggestion to the admins, I would make it a precondition to his remaining on the site that he give the admins an e-mail address for his parents so they could be informed of his behavior and take whatever measures they deem appropriate. Perhaps it would be a good idea if any person who joined who was under 18 be required to give an adult's e-mail address. Of course, they'd have to let the admins know they were under 18, but again just a suggestion.

I invite all to visit the "Ivory Tower" to experience first hand my classes on parenting. Trust me, it is probably one of the best threads in every sense that you could imagine. The class is real weak right now and I'm preparin to kick some out if they don't show some interest. There's room for more.
