Seems like there is some kind of life lesson to be gleaned from this phenomenon.. I just can't think of it.

I was middle-aged before I needed glasses...just slightly magnified so that I could see the music when I played the church organ. Now, I have tri-focals. And I have the middle distance lens placed into glasses just for playing the piano and organ. It saves having to tip my head up and down as I read the music from top to bottom. The grand piano at the nursing home is the worst as the rack is so high.

I'm nearsighted on my right eye and a little farsighted on my left eye. I also have astigmatism and these things together help adjust my vision so I don't need any glasses according to my optician and he seems to be right.
Originally posted by KewpieYes it does 🙂 - the only thing now is that the lenses don't change as quickly as they used to. But it's quite comfortable still. When I was younger and before I met this optician I had to try different glasses but they never were of any help to me.

Originally posted by ale1552I've had horrible near-sight vision since I was a third grader. How old are you then? Maybe eight years? Dunno, it's been decades since I was a third grader. The lenses in my glasses were thick enough to hide bank tellers behind. Any hoo... I had cataracs (cataracts?) at the young age of 45 and now have artificial lenses in my eyes which corrects my vision to 20/20 as they say. 20/20 is not that great, it's OK but not the vision they can give you with glasses. But none the less, I am very grateful for my sight. Peace, love and Donny Osmond people. I hope you all have wonderful fall day.
