Cold baked beans

I’m a huge fan of baked beans. Heinz is my preference.

Hot on their own, on toast, with egg, with sausages and mash.

Or cold straight out of the tin or, if I’m feeling posh, in a dish.

Your thoughts on cold baked beans in particular...?

Try it, but do it properly with quality bread, and have a couple of steamed (not peached) eggs with it.

Goad is correct it is the poor mans meal.

We ate them alot as kids. Beans made you fart. I remember we would have them on a Saturday and go to Church on Sunday and have a Farting contest. Give me a break we were just kids!!! 😉

Cold baked beans were always a staple when canoeing/camping in the back country. Good with a wee bit of vinegar on occasion.

I don’t care for them cold. My dad used to mix them with fried onion and corned beef.
