I’m a huge fan of baked beans. Heinz is my preference.
Hot on their own, on toast, with egg, with sausages and mash.
Or cold straight out of the tin or, if I’m feeling posh, in a dish.
Your thoughts on cold baked beans in particular...?they've been called the 'musical fruit'

Well it was initially based on a comment by Shav in debates, but I thought I’d bring the core here as I didn’t want to start a thread over there that could create a rift in the left v right continuum. What is with you guys and 'beans on toast', anyways?

What is with you guys and 'beans on toast', anyways?Try it, but do it properly with quality bread, and have a couple of steamed (not peached) eggs with it.
Game over.

Game over.Never had a peached egg. Sounds rather fruity.

Baked Beans are great with pork in them.
Goad is correct it is the poor mans meal.
We ate them alot as kids. Beans made you fart. I remember we would have them on a Saturday and go to Church on Sunday and have a Farting contest. Give me a break we were just kids!!! 😉
-VRBeans, beans, the musical fruit (poetic license)

Well, there we have it folks...proposed and seconded. Is FMF proposing that eating cold baked beans has extended his life by 10+ years?

-VRIf it (the conversation and bean eating) was held at a potter's studio wouldn't it be cool if the studio was called "Gaseous Clay"?
