Compensation

I am merely testing the waters to see what your opinion is with regards to RHP being
down.

I mean, we're paying for a service, that service being a functioning chess site.
Now if that service isn't available we shouldn't have to pay for those days.
Does anyone agree?

Granted it's not much money...it's more of the principle.
To my knowledge there has been no attempt by RHP to smooth
things over with their customers.
Remember we are customers paying for a service.
We don't anyone anything. It's the other way around.

If my cable goes out...they credit me a couple of days.

If I order a T-shirt and they screw up the order...they send me an e-coupon worth ten bucks.

If I promise a network that I'll have a primetime television show ready for them by a certain date and I don't...I'll probably be driven half way to Vegas.
I'm sure you get the message.

It was down for 2 days, subscription is $30. 2/365 = around 16c according to my maths - I expect it in my bank account on Monday

Just be happy they worked so hard to get the site up. Don't be anal and bother them for pennys.
