Tonight the dragon waits, quietly lurking in the Latvian hills, suddenly his ears Pirc up, is it the Sicilian? No its just another Bird. Never mind,he decides to Bogo off and eat Alekhine with the Bishop in his French chateau washing it all down with a shot of Scotch whilst Philidor plays the Piano in the Centre before finally taking the Dutch Queen back to his den.

Unfortunately, when he awakens the dragon discovers that the Dutch Queen is really the King in Drag. The dragon is furious! Goaded on by his hangover as well as his unmet needs, he soars into the sky. A city will pay the ultimate price for this!

The dragon soars the skies, looking. First Berlin then Vienna, he soon reaches Budapest before turning back, the Polish, Danish, the Dutch and the English all pass below him. Then he sees it, Cambridge, he stops, circles and swoops down by the Spring. He never did like the Queen and now her Gambit is declined - he burns the Cambridge Springs to the ground.

Nearby, surrounded by peasants, lurks a knight. The crowd is so close that the gleam of his sword isn't even noticed. He will attack this dragon and bring him down, even if it is the last quest he ever takes.

The dragon sees the knight and scurries across to the nearest castle. Once inside he posts the black bishop on guard. The white bishop patrols the forecourt. The dragon feels safe.

The knight approaches the castle and smiles. The dragon's guard, formidable from a distance, is almost pathetic on closer inspection. The castle doesn't even have a decent moat! There are merely a few peasants doing laundry in what's left of the stagnant water. Sizing up the bishops, the knight realizes he can take this dragon -- with a little help.
