    I rarely ponder upon the source of a quotation, and the "consider" suggested to me that I was supposed to ponder upon the actual lilies, not the original source. Was I wrong?

    I'm not sure about what "should" occur, but in some case what occurs next seems to be people copy pasting the verse it comes from here and then not saying anything about it.
