I love beef stew made with Guiness or another good, dark beer.

1.5 - 2 pounds cubed beef. (Venison would also be good if you're someone who eats venison.)
1 can of Guiness
1 can of diced tomatoes
stew veggies - whatever you like such as carrots, potatoes, celery, onions...

Dredge the meat in flour and brown it well in oil in a good, heavy stockpot. ...[text shortened]... ry good served in a bread bowl on a cold evening with a glass of the same beer you cooked with.

'Beer can' chicken.
Open a can of beer (cider also goes well wi chicken).
Shove it up chicken, and stand it upright on a tray. It can be done.
Cover wi foil, not too tight.
Put tray on bbq.
Chicken is now flavoured and moist!
(Trays do not like bbqs, so buy a cheapo)

IRISH STEW

1. Acquire four pounds of potatoes, two pounds of bacon, and six bottles of stout.
2. Open and consume the stout. Forget the rest.
