So while a few of you are arguing that the penalty is too harsh for doing that, let me ask a simple question: If a stranger did that to your mother... or your wife, would you want him to get slapped on the wrist and told he shouldn't do that? The fact of the matter IS that people who commit acts like this KNOW that it's against the law! But they do it anyways... WHY? Maybe they do it because they think they can get away with it.
If they know it's against the law and do it anyways, then what good are the laws if they aren't strong enough to stop people from breaking them?
Personally, I'd like to see all convicted sex criminals castrated.
