So while a few of you are arguing that the penalty is too harsh for doing that, let me ask a simple question: If a stranger did that to your mother... or your wi ...[text shortened]... from breaking them?
Personally, I'd like to see all convicted sex criminals castrated.
Having said that, I say kill the lot of them, and spare the next potential victim the agony. A dead rapist, or pedophile will NEVER create another VICTIM. Just a thought

It's true that in the times of kings, the slaves were castrated to prevent them from raping the royal women; and that it didn't work then because the men didn't realize they could not ejaculate. Yes, it's true. A man can still have an erection after castration UNTIL he discovers he can't ejaculate... Once he discovers this problem the brain functions take over and he can no longer achieve a simple erection.
I believe that once there is an established pattern that castration will work. And BTW, I'm not talking about physical castration. We have the ability to castrate a criminal by forcing them to take medication. The end result is the same. Once the person realizes they can't achieve an erection they are no longer willing to take the chances to attempt sexual abuse.
