One doesn't have to like his music to recognize that he was in a league by himself. He re-invented himself several times and his influence will be felt for a long while yet.

Some artists, really great, have passed me by for some reason and I haven't, as you say, connected (another example The Rolling Stones).

Secret fav. Young Americans (most of my friends HATED this album)

Didn't listen to anything after mid-80s but apparentlt the latest is a return to form?
