Everything else seems to be a variation of those four. Now isn't the first step of debating a topic the expression of disagreement? Is your preference that people not post in your threads if they disagree with anything you've said? Or are you going to post what you consider to be the rules of debate and how they differ from people expressing a disagreement.

Debate, disagreement, discourse, etc, are good. How else do we learn?
Edit: Please read the post to Mike again. I was essentially taking mild exception, dismissing excessive debate
as an issue and promoting (open, spirited, vigorous) mutually beneficial conversation. -gb
