I had a root canal two and a half years ago, it was horrible and I never wanted to go through that again. So, since then, I've been flossing every night, brushing properly, taking the time to reach those difficult areas , using a tongue scraper to minimise bacterial build up on my tongue and chewing sugar free gum when I can. ...[text shortened]... dentist and am now feeling miserable and nervous. I hate going to the fricking dentist.
Dont forget to take a weapon with you, they dont like it if you go tooled up.

SO after going to my dentist he tried to smooth the sharp edges down by simply gringing the tooth, BUT I can't sleep at night now cause I usually sleep on my left side, and when I try to do that my tongue lays against the sharpt edges of the tooth and wakes me up!
I should SUE McDonalds!!!😠 But in reality this would not help me. My dentist tells me he's going to have to drill a perfectly good tooth and fill it in order to get rid of the cutting razor edges. 😳
Oh my god! My dentist is a genius, I thought the root canal I had last year was only less painful because the root had died away and there was nothing to jab at, but it turns out that he's just plainly brilliant at his job. I felt nothing this time. Absolutely nothing, not the needle, not the clamp, not the drill, nothing. It was the best dental experience I have had, and he gave me it for half price since we've been friends for 10 years. The nurse was cute and made small talk with me, which kept my mind off things and I can honestly say I'm not at all worried about the other filling he's going to do next week on the other side. Fantastic!

Hmmm.
But wait a minute
Didn't I just read
About how the cops are getting parents
To plant bugging devices
In their kids' teeth
So if they disappear they can track 'em
Before they wind up on the backs of milk cartons
And all that
Edit: Sorry, that's fantastic, I'm glad.

Just use cocaine.
and if the dentist doesn't supply it. Snort it.
Easy as peasy.

If only...
It's a quote from the beautiful 'Can God Fill Teeth?' by Jello Biafra's band after the Dead Kennedys, I'm ashamed to admit.
Did you have a numb mouth? They're great.

Yes, root canals and caps are a crap shoot. I have one that's 25 years old and still as good as new, another that didn't last 3 years before the crown broke in half.
Lotta money down the drain, now I have to have the tooth pulled anyway. Getting old sucks.
Over the years...had 4 operations in my mouth for cysts and capping the tooth roots.
Had/have a 7 tooth bridge front top...cost £300 per tooth...total £2100.00....got a smile like the Colgate Man now 😀😀 Due to go back for my annual checkup...gets a call from the Surgery....the Dentist had died that weekend and can I rearrange!
Gets to find out ..he's committed suicide..only about mid 40's..muppet!
Probably couldn't handle all that money he earns.
Fact of the day!!!!! Dentists...apparently.. have the highest suicide rate of all the medical professions. 😉.........right kids!
