I had a root canal two and a half years ago, it was horrible and I never wanted to go through that again. So, since then, I've been flossing every night, brushing properly, taking the time to reach those difficult areas , using a tongue scraper to minimise bacterial build up on my tongue and chewing sugar free gum when I can. ...[text shortened]... dentist and am now feeling miserable and nervous. I hate going to the fricking dentist.

My dentist is fantastic. Dr H El-Essawy, 121 Harley Street.
Of course a simple check-up costs £160 but then at least it'll give you something to take your mind off the fear.

Cape Town had a spate of random power cuts not so long ago. I'm glad I wasn't visiting the dentist during any of them.

I could care less about the dentist. The dental hygenist, the one that cleans the teeth, is where the action is. You get a good one and it relieves a lot of the anxiety and suffering.

I lurve Dentists!
6 months ago I volunteered at the Leeds Dental Hospital.
They gave me to a final year student (called Alice Cooper - I kid you not) and told her to go to work!

£2,500 worth of dentistry culminating in two brand new teeth to plug the big gap I had at the front (they went in this morning actually!) and all for FREE!
Whoopee!

To put things in perspective, I hadn't smiled properly for about 5 years until this morning!
