* Try WinUAE if you're not already using it.
* The emulator won't show you anything but blanks until it's "booted" with a kickstart ROM.
* Kickstart is Amiga's "BIOS", it has to be present for the emulator to run. Put it in the directory that contains the program itself. If need be, tell the program where the kick.rom file is located through preferences (it's just a program, it may need guidance).
* Insert a disk in the first drive and reboot.

Yeah, but I do have a PC as well, so I am trying it out on that at the moment, and it has got further than the opening screen so far, which is better than the Mac did, but it's looking like I will just never play that game again :'(

Yep, of the three versions I've downloaded, one actually gets to the first game screen, but then there's a software failure - 'press left mouse button to continue'. And workbench loads. What do I want with workbench. The other two don't even get this close. It is SO frustrating. Why did squaccer have to remind me about this game?

Well i've got a screen that says workbench 1.3 but that's all it does. It doesn't actually go into the workbench, it just has the start up screen (the one with the left handed person holding a disk. I'm assuming they have a left handed person on it so they don't feel left out cos the disk drive was round the right hand side if i remember correctly. Ahem. Anyway. Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated thanks.

If you see that screen, your kickstart works and all you need to do is put a virtual disk (.adf-file) into one of the virtual drives and restart/reboot the emulator.

Okay, i've found a .adf file and put it in the virtual drive. It tries loading then i get a 'LoadWB failed return code 20'.
Its in Amiga DOS and i haven't a clue how to use it?
I'm assuming that WB is work bench and it has failed to load it.

Try some other files. Even though it's a pretty good emulation, some things just doesn't work and I've come across several corrupted .adf-files. If it still doesn't work, fiddle with the preferences.

Hmm. This one's got me thinkiing. I'll try messing about with chipset settings that may be quite important.

Nah. Its not having it. Gets to screen that says Gary's game disk 13 then does nothing. Think it will be easier to find an old amiga.

I've finally managed to get Deuteros up and running, albeit without sound. Just needed a previous version of the emulator, that was all. Hooray! 😀😀😀😀🙂

You want to let me in on the secret then cos i've been trying for 2 days and i'm flummaxed. Out of ideas.

I put the kick.rom in the WINAUE file whatever it's called and i got the work bench thingy with the hand on. Then i downloaded a game and put the .adf file in the virtual ROM drive. I then got Gar's game disk 13 but nothing else.
