I slept through it, until my mother rang. We live 20 miles from the epicentre. 5.2 on the Richter scale. Its the biggest story on the national news. People in San Fransisco and Japan must be chuckling at us.

We heard one of our children cry out in the night, but that must have been after the rumbling stopped... we waited for a moment, she didn't cry any more, so we fell asleep again.

All the parents at school this morning were talking about it.

It woke me, but as it was exactly the same feeling as the last one (W.Mids epicentre about 5 years ago) I went back to sleep knowing what it had been.

Just seen CCTV camera footage on tv. It looked worse than it felt.
