Yes. And then I start playing badly to make it more even. Then sometimes I lose.
I always want to play higher rated players as then i concentrate the best.
However, with lower rated players I get to try new opennings, sacrifices, etc.

Usually when I play I always want to win.

But sometimes I feel sorry for my losing opponent and I even have thoughts of hanging a piece to make it a draw or even worse just blundering the win away.

With online chess it only happens once in awhile but in real tournaments it happens a lot.

Anybody else think like this sometimes?
No.
I play to win, and I have never let up on an opponent on purpose.
One time I was playing a good friend's son. I was mauling him, my buddy said, "I thought you'd let up a little bit." I said, "You want him to learn don't you?" He smiled and said, "He'll learn not to play you."

Seeing as how in the US the English language is corrupted both in spelling and pronunciation, it'd be lot easier if you just started calling it 'American'.

Does it appear like I am impersonating an American?

I am North American, so you are not getting me on that one.

My speeling and gramma, upsets the speeling coppers. 😛

No. It's very condescending. I would feel insulted if someone did that to me. I give all my games my best effort, including sports, and I expect the same from my opponents.
