Both extremes of the human condition, abject poverty/extraordinary wealth, are overrated. One may cause considerable inconvenience and impaired health... while the other may cause incipient blindness and loss of peace of mind (and in some instances even frustrate your golf game or lead to suicide). Job retained his tranquility sitting in the ash heap, with only shards of forgotten pottery and stray dogs to alleviate the discomfort of his boils. King Solomon was miserable and he had it all.
