I'll never be poor as long as my life can be emotionally and intellectually enriched by contact with the wonderful people on RHP. Even the nasty, vile problematic people here have taught me to control my emotions. I have run across people here who are suffering losses in all areas of life, and much as I might want to wave a magic wand and make it all better, I can't. Life by its nature is supposed to be challenging. An endless problem-solving exercise.

"For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness."

-- 1 Timothy 6:7-11, KJV

Of course not me.

I'm just one woman crying out in the wilderness.

My Mary Magdalene act is only about 2000 years too late, and yet, it has more relevance even today.

I'm sure they are happy, they have sun and sand and they don't have to go to work.

Of course not, but those in power aren't doing a damn thing to change the situation, either.

I guess it's all in the interpretation.

Yes they do but some also question whether it's blind.

Only the ones with not enough faith.

(I'm not saying "Be blind". I'm saying "Seek, [seriously and studiously,] and ye *shall* find.)
