I really do get deja vu quite often. A couple of times I've known my way round places I can pretty much prove I've never been before. And I can't tell you how often I catch myself thinking 'oh no, not this again' then realizing I have no idea when 'this' ever happened before (and chances are, it never did).
Uh, am I SPECIAL?
I get it a lot. I mean seriously. I've tried to explain; it's so weird. I'm left handed. I wonder if it's more common among lefties, but it's almost spooky. some explanation was given by Bart Kosko once, but it was not satisfactory. I can often predict (when it's happening) excatly what you will do and say. Really screws me up. Maybe a lag or split in how my brain is processing the present, but it 's a very real and strong perceptual phenomenon. it just hits.... i say to myself 'it's happening'....then i try to run ahead of it, 'okay, how far can you see what will he say what car will pass what shadow will fall'. it's reallllly weird.
