A hefty beat down!

A kick in the nads too if you can hold it for 2 more years.
I got my dig in, and i would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those pesky kids......i just had to.

It did teach me a valuable lesson though, namely that i can lose my capital and survive.

I wave my private parts in your general direction πŸ˜›

I finally joined one of the Dl's and got stuck with the Night Goblin Horde. I seem to be surrounded and without a port. How did the NGH do in your game?

He sided with a cheater and RHP gangbanged him and his buddies immediately. He botted out quickly.

I thought our game of Dragon Lords was the last one using the old rules? I think you're using different rules than we are.

My experience with Goblin troops is that they are awesome for producing skirmishers, pillagers and garrisons. My favorite Goblin troops are the move 4, cost 6 wolfriders, followed by the cost 2 infantry. You can attack every territory conceivable without risking much.

The 3 cost infantry seem to be a better value; they're double the combat strength and 1.2 HP compared to 0.7.

I like the cheaper ones because I can take risks with them for as cheap as possible, not because of their raw power. Units that cost 3 are pretty good for this too though. The Underlings also have lower upkeep and can fill a garrison quickly.

I take it you're feeling a little faggy nowadays? πŸ˜€

I was the Goblins in one of my previous games. I got off to a good start, but attracted the attention of a horde of jealous neighbors. So I ended up getting knocked off pretty early.

Not particulary. I figured I was honor bound to try all the games at least once and I've finished or am deep into all the other ones.

I really don't like this central position, esp. with so many realms only two or three away - they'll be Orcs and/or Elves probably right next to my capital in the next turnfile. I'm trying to do some negotiating but nothing back yet. My nephew's in this game too, but he's pretty far away with the Dark Elves.

I played the dark elves (Lethloriel) and was chuffed at my starting position ... and then every man and his dog betrayed me - including my liege. Down to one spy which I'm revealing and storming an enemy capital with. πŸ™‚

A glitch gave my cuttlefish 110hp which was amusing for one fight but naturally I had to let the GM know once I discovered my beasts were over the top.

Bit harder with the independent provinces worth so little ...

(edit: is it the upgraded dragonlords you're talking about? I thought the Night Goblins were close to the dark elves)

You're right; there's a few Dark Elf realms. He's Uvatha Rax.

That smegger (in my game) started my rot last game ... I landed next to his capital first move (ala Ito/Shimazu) but foolishly chose peace and diplomacy over continuing my blitzkrieg ... he buried a scimitar between my shoulder blades at the first opportunity ... sigh!

Ironic you're playing the Night Goblins - he was my liege in my game but unlike you he was wooed by the larger powers and stabbed me in the back! πŸ˜€
